Ecommerce Search Report

The Ecommerce Search Report provides insight into the searches performed by customers on your online store. It can help you identify popular search terms, searches that return few or no results, and how customers are using your site's search functionality.

Use this report to identify products customers are looking for, improve product discoverability, and spot opportunities to expand or adjust your product range.

You can use the following filters to refine the report:

  • Date Range – Displays searches performed within the selected period.

  • Store – Displays searches for the selected online store.


All Searches

The All Searches tab displays each individual search performed during the selected date range.

The report displays:

  • Search Term – Displays the term entered into the website search.

  • Results – Displays the number of products returned by the search.

  • Customer – Displays the customer who performed the search, if they were logged in. Anonymous searches are shown as N/A.

  • Device – Displays the type of device used to perform the search.

  • OS – Displays the operating system of the device.

  • Browser – Displays the browser used to perform the search.

  • Query – Displays the search query submitted to the website.

  • Search Date – Displays the date and time the search was performed.


Search Report

The Search Report tab provides a summary of all unique search terms used during the selected date range.

The report displays:

  • Search Term – Displays the search term entered by customers.

  • Times Searched – Displays the number of times the search term was used.

  • Average Results – Displays the average number of products returned for the search term.

  • Last Searched – Displays the date and time the search term was most recently used.
