Dymo LabelWriter 450 and 550 (Mac)

Learn how to install your Dymo LabelWriter 450 and 550 on your Mac

What's in the box? The Dymo LabelWriter 450 or 550, quick start guide, USB cable, power cable and power adapter. Labels are purchased separately, Saledock is compatible with the 57 x 32mm (11354) labels for your product labels and 54 x 101mm (99014) labels for your online order shipping labels. Please note: Only official Dymo labels are compatible with the 550.

Printer setup

  • Plug the power cable into the power adapter

  • Plug the power adapter into the power port located on the bottom rear of the printer

  • Plug the power cable into the power outlet

  • Plug the USB cable into the USB port as located on the bottom rear of the printer

  • Visit the Dymo website to download and install the latest Mac drivers (see below for more detailed instructions).

  • A Dymo Connect app will be installed, you do not need to use this as Saledock has 2 pre-defined templates

  • Once the drivers are installed insert the USB cable into your Windows or Mac device. Important: Only connect AFTER the driver has been installed


Installing on your Mac

Once you have gone to the Dymo website, click on The Latest Software & Drivers for all LabelWriters and LabelManager.

Then, click on Download for Mac. Note: This is only compatible from mac OS 11 and higher.

This will then ask you where you wish to download the file to. Choose a destination and click Save.

Follow the instructions that come up on screen to continue installing the program.

After following all of the steps, you will receive confirmation that the file was installed.

The below screen will pop up asking for your computer admin password to install the certificates. Input your password and press enter.

Note: When you type in your password, it won't show any indication that something has been typed in.

Reset your computer, then go to your Back Office, Products > Barcodes and Labels.

Select the items you want to print the barcodes for, and and tap Print Barcode Labels. Press Print.
