Learn how to navigate and set up the back office

Dashboard

When you first log in to back office, you will see the dashboard and navigation bar.

The Dashboard shows a graph of sales made in the past month and includes updates on stock, online orders and gift cards. Click on any of the update links to be taken to the relevant page.

In the top right corner, click All Stores to open a drop down menu and select the store/s for which you want to see an overview. To choose a time frame, tap on the calendar to choose the dates you want to view


Navigation Bar

The navigation bar is on the left side of the screen.

  • Point of sale - this will take you to the back office version of the till.

  • Online Store - if you have a website through Saledock, you can manage the site from here.

  • Products - Add and edit your stock here, create and print barcodes and labels, create gift cards and add price lists.

  • Fullfil orders - View and action online orders.

  • Stock control - Complete stock takes, view back orders, create purchase orders and move stock.

  • Loyalty - Create, view and amend loyalty rewards.

  • Promotions - Create, view and amend promotions.

  • Sales History - View past sales, issue receipts or complete a return / exchange.

  • Customers - Create and view customers and customer groups.

  • Reports - View and print reports.

  • Settings - Setup your stores and customise your preferences.


Settings

  • Click on My Account to setup your business address, business details and VAT number.

  • Create your stores and receipt templates on Stores. You can create a different receipt for each store.

  • On Users, specify the user roles and permissions, and create new users.

  • Manage your product tax rates on Tax rates.

  • Create email receipts with your social media information and set the store colour scheme in Customise.

  • Integrate your accounting software, Amazon and eBay stores or some shipping providers via Marketplace integrations.

  • On Payment methods, specify which payment methods you will accept and set the invoice terms.

  • If you're setting up loyalty schemes, make sure you enable the loyalty option within Loyalty. Set the default points per £ and you also have the option of writing a standard welcome email template.

  • Create your suppliers and store their contact detail under Suppliers so you can send purchase orders directly to them through back office.

  • Setup your product brands, colours, categories and subcategories in Product setup.
