Customer Information

Additional Customer Fields

The below fields have been added to the customer information

  • Price List

  • Job Title

  • International Customer

  • Company information

    • EORI Number

    • Account Number

    • Invoice Country Code

These fields enable you to add further information if you have international accounts. For Saledock customers using price lists, you can now assign a price list to a customer rather than creating price list specific to a customer group.

Additional Addresses

Multiple addresses may be assigned to one customer account such as different shipping and billing addresses.

Additional Contacts

Multiple contacts may be assigned to one customer account, which can often be useful for B2B customer accounts.

Product Information

Summary

A summary field has been added to the Details tab of the product page. We will be rolling out this additional field to ecommerce accounts over the next few weeks so you can split out the Summary and Description.

The Product Name is the H1 and the Summary is the H2. Search engines crawl each page and use a H1 and H2 to build a better picture of each page. By creating a summary field, you can add a short paragraph that summarises your product more precisely than the description.

Purchase Order

In some cases, suppliers only accept purchase orders via their own B2B supplier portal and not via email. To streamline this function, the ability to export a spreadsheet of model numbers and quantities has been added to the Purchase Orders. We have also added the ability to add to your purchase order via spreadsheet.

New Purchase Order

To add products to your purchase order in bulk, select the 3 dots from the top right and Export Supplier Stock.

This will produce a CSV with all of the products from that supplier, from here you just need to enter the quantity you need in the "Quantity to Order" column.

Once done, save then import using the 3 dots and Import Purchase Order Lines CSV. Only products with something in the Quantity to Order column will be imported.

From here either Save and Send or Mark as Sent as usual.

Send Purchase Order on B2B Portal

Once you have marked your Purchase Order as Sent on Saledock, you will be able to export a file with the Model Number and Quantity as some suppliers will support this being uploaded to their portal.

Select the 3 dots from the top right and select Export Sent.

Once confirmed in their portal, take an export of what you'll receive (model number and quantity check) and import into the sent purchase order to update the quantity received fields in Saledock.

Supplier Set Up

Margins

We have removed the Mark Up% field and replaced this with Margin%.

In Settings > Suppliers > Individual Supplier there is now the option to Auto Update Prices based on cost prices. If this is ticked and if the cost price was changed manually, on receipt of a purchase order or a stock transfer, the selling price would automatically update to maintain the same profit margin.

If this box is not checked and the cost price updates, the selling price will remain the same and the margin will update to reflect the change.

International Supplier

International Suppliers can be identified using the below tick box, additional fields for international suppliers will be displayed on a purchase order.

The additional fields included on the purchase order are:

  • Commodity Code

  • Country of Origin

  • Package Summary

  • MID

  • Composition

These fields are added from the globe icon on the shipping tab of a product page.

Product Set Up

Edit existing

Within Settings > Product Setup we have added the function to edit the names of existing Brands, Categories and Sub-categories. This is so you can amend the name in case of a typo .etc rather than recreating the name and deleting the misspelling.

Select the pen icon and type your changes into the text box.

Merge

You can also merge multiple Brands, Categories and Sub-categories, in case multiple have been created for the same but have slight spelling differentiations or case sensitivity. Select the Merge icon on the line of the first Brand/Category, this will bring up the below. Select from the drop down the Brand/Category you would like to Merge into and click Merge.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Items returned from the Return Bin now displaying as a return bin movement in the Inventory Audit on a product page rather than displaying as "Manual update"

  • Gift card barcodes created externally from Saledock, now register and scan as a gift card on the back office POS

  • Barcodes of all lengths can now be searched

πŸ‘‹ Coming Soon

Features in progress that we're aiming to release in Q1:

  • Cycle to work scheme payment methods on the POS

  • Serial numbers on products

  • Ability to sell the same product individually or as a pack/box
